Any Size Socket Bit Generator

An OpenSCAD custom socket generator socket which incorporates a hex shaft for fitting into an electric drill or hand driver.

default 10mm socket bit stl file is included as an example.

If you prefer to print sideways for a stronger hex shaft, consider changing the outside cylinder shape to a hexagon to reduce the need for support.

this can be done by changing line 49
from:

cylinder (h = socket_hexagon_depth_mm+socket_junction_thickness_mm, r=socket_hexagon_final_radius_mm + socket_minimum_wall_thickness_mm);

to:

cylinder (h = socket_hexagon_depth_mm+socket_junction_thickness_mm, r=socket_hexagon_final_radius_mm + socket_minimum_wall_thickness_mm,$fn=6);
