Atari XCF12

XCF12 is a tape recorder case project that utilizes the mechanism and electronics of the Atari XCA12 tape recorder. Its design extends the shape of the Atari XE (hence the letter F in the project name, standing for "fitted"). The geometry meeting this requirement is larger than the original case, providing additional space to also accommodate an SdriveMax. Since Sdrive supports .cas files, this solution can be an interesting proposition for users who want to use both original media and their digital copies. As the tape recorder placed next to the Atari blocks the joystick ports, the new case includes space for installing popular extenders, with the ports relocated to the front of the case.
