Backlit Acrylic Base Generator

Once you've got a laser cutter, etching fancy backlit acrylic signs is easy. Making the base that supports them — and channels the light from a strip of LEDs into the acrylic — is a little more annoying.

This Customizer spits out a 3D printable base that grips the acrylic sign, and has a pre-cut channel for a strip of 10mm LEDs just beneath it. It also generates endcaps for the base, to keep things tidy and hold a variety of LED power cords in place.

Configurable options include the thickness of the acrylic sheet, the height and width of the sign, the style of the base, and the shape of the base's profile: Pyramid-like or rounded.

UPDATE 6/24/2019: Slight chamfering on the base, and the addition of a "Business Card Holder" option that adds a tray in front of the sign.
