The idea with Basic Trailer Project is that you can combine standard parts to make your
own trailer design. It is built with screws and nuts so you can change, upgrade, repair
or take it apart and build something else.
Twist and turn the objects so that the print fits you and your printer.
Here we have some different coupling parts. You can build an ordinary trailer,
semitrailer, dolly or whatever you want.
Does that 3D-printed fifth wheel really work???
Of course :-)
It's compatible with Tamiya's fifth wheel and kingpin.
I have made a short video on the fifth wheel assembly, but it is not
that difficult. Small tension spring to hold the latch in closed position and
some lever to open it.
M4 threaded rod through the mounting holes and a spring so that it
flips backward.
