Battleship Chess Edition

This 3D-printed chess set reflects the evolution of naval warfare, combining historic maritime battles with modern naval technology. The 50x50cm board features a Hueforge print of an 18th-century sea battle, framed in a 3D-printed wooden-style picture frame. Its layered tones recreate the look of an aged maritime artwork, giving the sea battle scene a weathered, painterly effect that captures the drama of naval history. Each chess piece represents a distinct element of naval combat. Pawns are inspired by the Patrol Boat 80, symbolizing the smaller yet numerous vessels in modern fleets. The rooks take the form of a Maunsell Fort sea fortress—strong and immovable—while knights are represented by Typhoon-class inspired submarines, hidden and unpredictable like the knight’s movement on the board.
