Bead Roller Coaster

This week's FriDIY item is the classic bead roller coaster (or maze) we probably all had as a little kid. I certainly remember having a blast with these when I was about 4. Now with the Your Wild World Bead Roller Coaster, you can print out your own fully customizable toy! Add as many blocks as you like to this modular toy and go as big as you want! We also provided a set of beads you can print out, but this just scratches the surface of what you can actually use for beads.

We wanted to use filament for the wire, but it's absurdly difficult to manipulate and has very little rigidity. Braided filament was an even worse idea. We settled on 14 gauge picture hanging wire, available at most hardware stores for about $6.00 USD. This is an aluminum single stand wire that's easy to bend by hand, and can be snipped easily with wire cutters.
