BookMark – Message Edition

This is a bookmark designed with a jisei no ku (death poem), suitable for both paperback and hardcover books. Its slim profile allows it to slide gently between pages without damaging the book.As shown in the photos, threading a thin string through the hole makes it even more convenient to use. This bookmark is inspired by the death poem of Shinsaku Takasugi: “If the world seems dull, make it interesting.” The message reflects the idea thatthe world itself is not boring —how we live and how we feel is up to us.
