Box for sharp distance sensor

Box for a sharp gp2y0a51sk distance sensor.
The sensor works from 2 to 15 cm. There are other types for different ranges.

The grooves are compatible with the Fischertechnik system as you can see in the picture.

If you average the reading the measurement can be very stable.

The picture shows an application. The distance between the sensor in the red box with the cables and the white plate is measured to estimate the position of the linear table.
