Brain Slice Holder

This is a slice holder for incubation of fresh brain sections in recirculating aCSF. The central channel is for a bubbler, and has a stop at the bottom to ensure bubbles ascend through the main channel only. It is designed to fit snugly in a 200mL beaker, with plenty of room for variations thanks to the tapered wings. It has 6 chambers, one with an indent to help organize the slices. Each chamber should be large enough to hold a horizontal section from a ~300g rat, or 2-3 horizontal sections from a mouse.

While I am quite happy with this third revision and it is working well for me, I intend to eventually redesign a similar model printed as two separate pieces, held together with narrow rod magnets so that the nylon mesh can be easily replaced if-- or rather, when-- it is damaged.
