Press for good insertion of brass inserts in printed parts.
Based on :
- a soldering iron : https://aliexpress.com/item/33057345534.html
- the CNC Kitchen tips for hot inserts : https://cnckitchen.store/products/einschmelzhilfen-soldering-tips-m2-x-m3-m4-m5-m6-1-4-m8-100-lead-and-cadmium-free
- 20x40x300 aluminium profile : https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003023027840.html
- the base from an USB microscope stand : https://aliexpress.com/item/32832493520.html
- I also used a 200 mm MGN12C linear guide : https://aliexpress.com/item/4000253482419.html
- and an extension spring to keep the soldering in up position (no reference here, it's one that I had in my shop and that I extended more than its original size).
2 M3 brass inserts needed to fix the iron on the cradle
1 M3 and 1 M4 brass inserts needed to fix the spring ends
I tapped the bottom end of the profile and used M5 countersunk head screws to fix it to the base
Top and bottom stops are here to prevent the carriage
