This clock was made using salvaged parts that were meant to be discarded. I fully understand that it may not qualify for the contest, but I wanted to give others the opportunity to make it as well. The wooden structure measures 40cm by 40cm. It consists of four scrap wood planks, each 10cm high and cut to a length of 40cm. Once cut, the pieces are glued together using regular wood glue and left to dry for a couple of days.Next, cuts are made in the wood to create the hour markers. This process is simple but generates a lot of dust. Use an angle grinder to make the cuts at the hour positions. I used a drawing on the base as a guide to ensure the cuts were accurateOnce this is done, you move on to burning the wood. All you need is a torch, which you can find on AliExpress, and a butane canister. Burn the wood to create a charred outline. Then, draw an X in the center and drill a hole to insert the clock mechanism. On the back, you’ll need to use a router to create a recess to house the clock mechanism. If needed, I can send you the actual linksNow, print the numbers using a 3D printer and nail them onto the wood using nails with a round black head. Insert the clock mechanism and attach the hands. On the back, you’ll need to place a metal strap to hang the clock — and that’s it
