Button Battery Storage Box

We needed a better way to store button batteries for our Christmas ornaments. I wanted a small box with enough compartments for a large number of batteries, ensuring that they do not touch each other. After printing the drawers, I realized they were difficult to pull out with my fingers, so I created a small "wand" with a magnet on the end. This allows me to easily grab a battery or place one into the drawer. The top drawer holds the wand.

There are two versions of the drawer: one with a handle and one without. The version without a handle is particularly difficult to remove from the box.

You may need to drill out the hinges on the box and lid. I used an M3 bolt to secure them together. Additionally, I had to sand down some of the top edges of the box to ensure it closes more easily.

The wand features a hole at the tip for the magnet, but you may need to drill it depending on your battery size.
