Catan resources and commodities

I wanted to have something for resources for my 3D Catan build that justified having it be 3d printed. Seems like if you are just printing cards you might as well use the cards that came with the game.

The idea was to have something that fit with the theme, would be easy to identify what resource it is, and can be held in a way that would keep the other players from knowing what it is. For one thing I don't want the robber to just pick resource it wants.

I created the crate 1 first, and then after printing the ports noticed the crates on the ports and designed crate 2. Unfortunately I have already printed about half of the crates I need so I am just sticking with crate 1 for my builds, but if I were to do it again I would use crate 2.

So, I printed brick red, wool white, wood brown, wheat yellow, and ore gray. I think for the traders and barbarians expansion I will make the commodities blue for coin, pastel green for cloth, and green for books.

I print the crates with the
