Ceiling ring hook (detachable)

The original ceiling hook could slide out of the base. I wanted to hang my body weight from these, so I didn't want to have that risk.

I redesigned it from scratch in FreeCad and tried various solutions.
This final design was the strongest. It uses a locking cover to prevent the base from opening and be subject to shear forces.

The locking top cover can slide over the hook and then rotate 90 degrees. Because of the asymmetrical shape of the hole in the cover, it cannot go over the ring once rotated and acts as a safety lock.

I printed this in PETG with 5mm wall thickness, 3mm top/bottom thickness and 50% gyroid infill. For maximum strength, print the ring on its side to prevent layer separation from affecting strength. High temp and low fan speed will also help with strength.

I can hang my full body weight from these! I used them to hang my grip training / pull up balls.
