I designed this cabinet childlock after my son kept yanking the one off I bought from walmart. It works well with my 1 year old son. To install the lock press the two hooks towards the center piece. To remove the lock pinch the two tabs together and pull the hooks apart.
The spring I used for the latch can be bought at home depot.

The screw I used to hold the housing together is a #6 x .25" plastite screw. You can substitute a #6 x 25" sheet metal screw if you do not have a plastite screw.
