A Christmas tree with a base and an LED light. For the best effect if you want to use an LED, print the tree in clear PETG. Print the base in dark matt PLA to emulate wood, or use wood-filled PLA, or simply make it entirely out of wood. A STEP file is attached if you want to CNC mill it out of real wood. A 5 mm flat-top LED works best due to the different lens geometry, but you can also use a standard 5 mm LED and grind the top flat once it is glued into the tree. Glue the LED into the tree stem, then glue the tree stem into the base. CA glue works well for both. A 3 V coin cell, such as a CR2032, fits into the base; you can either use a small holder for the battery or glue it in place. You can add a resistor to dim the LED if you wish. There should be enough room for a small switch, but my preferred method of turning the LED off is to slip a small piece of battery between the battery and the battery contact holder. It's easy, simple and keeps the cost down.
