Classic chetki

This is my reverse-engineered version of a Russian "classic" chetki ("rosary"). These were originally created and used by Russian prison inmates instead of traditional rosaries however, these days they are a popular skill toy used by anyone.

The beads are 8-sided with 2mm holes. The ends are distinct -- the "string end" has a hole in the side for the string to enter & exit, the "return end" does not.

12 center beads gives a total length of about 20.5cm, which is a fairly standard length. "Standard" lengths vary with 20 - 23cm being common.

I use 1mm waxed polyester cord to string it. Melt the end and roll it to a sharp point and it should be fairly easy to string. The only problem might be coming back out. I usually cut off the melted piece and use a loop of fishing line to pull it through. Leave feedback if this part is not easy to understand.
