Have you ever made a model that had to fit an existing part? If so, you’ve probably wondered about how much clearance to leave so that the connection would fit securely. Many times, I’ve had the same question. So I decided to create a simple model that quickly shows you which clearance to use. This model is designed for 3D modelers who sometimes need to know what clearance to use for a perfect fit.
There are a total of eighteen holes of various sizes on the model - nine round holes and nine square holes. So you can use this model for both round and square connections. All holes are labeled except for the middle holes, which have zero clearance.
Warning!
Be careful with holes with small clearances, as the connector could get stuck! Don't insert the entire connector into these holes!
