Common Shelf Bracket

This is for a shelf bracket made from re purposed wood from pallets (but the wood can come from anywhere).

The 2.x4s are ripped to 1x2 boards for all the pieces of this project.

These brackets can be used to make different length of shelving to hang on the wall. For the shelf boards you can either use re purposed pallet boards or you can buy the nice boards from a local lumberyard and still get out very cheap.

During assembly use pre drill all the holes before putting the screws in. If you are wanting a more smooth finish even over the screws be sure to counter sink them so you can cover them with wood putty before painting. On the bracket themselves, I'd also recommend using wood glue on all the joints to add some strength.
