Not only to help hide small imperfections but give a more realistic finished product. I used tree supports only on the critical areas. This ended up giving a very feathery look to the bottom side of things. but with the fuzzy skin it did not hurt the appearance in my opinion, and I left it alone. The flimsy support on the inside failed during printing leaving a mess of hairs as pictured. I simply rubbed my hand inside to break them free and clean up the inside.
