A Cray 2 at 1:10 scale. An iconic supercomputer, first released in 1985. The Cray 2 went in a different direction than the Cray 1/XMP/YMP lines, both with the CPU architecture and physical design. Unusually compact for the time (45" tall and 53" wide), the processors and memory cards were stacked and immersed in a liquid coolant. While featured in a few movies, only about 30 were sold, and few people were able to see one in person.

A common nickname for Cray-2s was "bubbles", since the [liquid coolant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorinert) was aerated.

In NASA blue, to complement my [YMPi model](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6947303); print at 50% scale to match the 1:20 scale of the YMPi. Also see the customizable [raised computer floor](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6977417) to complete your data center.

No waterfall coolant tank just yet.

Several variants of the model are available for your printing pleasure.

** Note**: The flooded tank version is still being tweake
