The standard spool holder has been annoying me for a while. This one has a much smoother operation and doesn't cause any drag on the filament for the extruder mechanism. It's pretty much frictionless. There is absolutely no resistants for the extruder feed mechanism and the spool doesn't get that annoying pendulum rock happening when you print something that does a lot of retractions.
