Are you using your notebook as your main computer? Are you fed up with having to fiddle around with multiple plugs and cables every time you want to take your notebook with you? Are you annoyed with the cable clutter on your desk?

*HackDock to the rescue!* Build your very own customizable docking solution tailored to your notebook and your needs with a 3d printer and some Sugru. The HackDock is geared towards MacBook but will work with many other notebooks, too. It consists of two parts: The connector (this Thing) which combines all your plugs into one consolidated big one you can easily attach and detach and the Base Unit (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:143161) in which you can dump your peripheral components like USB Hubs or even an external HDD. The Base Unit can then be mounted out of sight under your desk or behind your monitor (neat!).

## Background and accompanying blog
