While it seems simple, these cylinder forms are incredibly handy in the pottery studio. Designed for handbuilding and slab work, they are sturdy to support manipulating, scoring, and modeling clay cylinders. A couple notes - They're not perfectly round. If we want to get super technical, they're 48 sided polygons or tetracontaoctagons. Fancy, right? This was intentional. I found that the ever so slight edge makes it easier to work with but doesn't impact the final product. I use newsprint wrapped around these cylinders for easy release of my clay. You could use corn starch or cling wrap (NOT Press N Seal) if that's your thing. Don't let clay dry on these cylinders, or any solid form, because it will crack as it shrinks Original model is 120mm x 150mm. I've included 3 other resized - 90mm, 100mm, 110mm as well.
