For several years I have been writing computer software to explore the space of traditional 6-piece burrs. I have worked with Bill Cutler to reproduce his original results, and I have extended that work in small ways. One goal I had was to build a small set of pieces that are easy to make, and allow many combinations of 6 pieces that can be solved.

This is the first set that I like. I have included a PDF describing it, which includes a sequence of 10 puzzles of increasing difficulty. I believe that if you progress through these 10, you will become better and better at solving the basic 6-piece burrs, and will be ready for greater challenges.

This stl was generated with Enso (http://www.jeremyrayner.com/puzzles/enso/) from the an .xmpuzzle file. enso will output OpenSCAD (https://www.openscad.org/) files which reference Aaron Siegel's excellent Puzzlecad library (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3198014) to do the final rendering as an STL.
