Much smaller than their behemoth relatives the Dire Bears much like the Yutyrannus feed on Penguins and Snowskippers. However they also have a strong love of fish and are quite capable swimmers when the need arises. Solitary creatures they often hunt alone and have no problem scavenging or bullying smaller creatures away from a kill.
