DND King

A male sovereign or monarch, husband to the queen, the king rules large areas of land or country under a mandate known as Divine Right. To assist him in governing such a vast expanse and to help defend from invasion, the King divided sections of the land up and parceled it out to nobles known as Vassals, who became his Bannermen or Banner Houses, sworn to him. In exchange for the power and wealth granted to them as Vassals, the Bannermen, in turn, swore to come when called to assist in defending the nation.
