Both locks for my friends NoBrand drill bit box had broken, so I made him a set of new ones. I suppose they are easy to loose because they are not attached to the box anymore.
There is quite a risk of breaking them if you lift too hard on them to open the box. A greater radius on the top back side perhaps would eliminate the risk.
