I have a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced and use a reflective range extender. I suspect the controller unit is similar for many DJI models. The weight of the reflectors is too great for the antennae to hold up. So this device offers support. I do not remember the brand of the reflectors, but others must be close, so altering the .stl can be easily done to make others fit. The reflectors increased my range from about ¾ miles to just over a mile. It works well, but you have to watch the direction of the drone since the range behind you is quite short, so you need to always point toward the drone.
