Ear Saver

Wearing a mask for extended periods of times leaves unbearable irritation and sometimes inflammation at the back of ear. This thing has been created to minimize the problem caused by strings of mask. An oval "ring" is printed and then the inner perimeter is covered by a slotted 8mm EPE noodle using little spots of superglue. The provided hooks then attach to the existing mask strings. You may have to tie a little knot in the existing string if the mask goes too loose.

The EPE noodle can be obtained from furniture upholstery supply stores, should be of closed cell type and can be replaced as frequently as daily or when its cells collapse and you start feeling the pressure of ABS ring - it can easily last for 15 days and it can be wiped off with IPA or other non-corrosive sterilizing agents between uses.
