This is a programming cable lock for the communication cable for the ECM with embedded EBL lockers add-on board. This is a significant addition to the cabling if the cabling is more-or-less permanent or used for the long term.
If 3D printed, clean up the threads then use silicone lube for smooth operation of the threads.
