Ender 5 is a very nice toy and i love it. I replaced the original magnetic foil surface on bed with a 1.5mm steel-plate to get a more homogenuos heat-spreading combined with a straight plate surface which can be used in combination with glas, PC or magnetic bed. It works fine, but additional weight cause, that Z-Drive will sink down after printing. This is good for working on bed, but bad for the next run of printer. When Ender starts, it moves down Z-axis first for some millimeters, but if bed is down, motor makes some roumorous noise, i don´t like.
In first, i glued some plastic-foam-spacer on the bottom of the bed-construction but it was not really fine. So i constructed a bumper, wich prevents sinking down bed completely, but enables Z-drive to sink down bed some millimeters on start. The bumper is simply clicked on the center rod of the bed - thats all.
