I really liked the original design but, I found a few opportunities to optimize it for better printability, and durability after I had a few get destroyed in transit.The UpgradesI focused on two main areas: Speed of Printing, Structural Integrity and Speed.1. Support-Free Printing (Diamond Interlock)The Change: Redesigned the interlocking mechanism from a standard square profile to a 45-degree diamond shape.The Benefit: Beams can now be printed on their side without any supports. This allows them to be printed on their sides on many printers which also gives them more strength along the axis that will have force applied.2. Faster, More Efficient SpacersThe Change: Redesigned the spacers to be printed flat on their tops.The Benefit: By optimizing the orientation and geometry, this version uses less filament and prints faster.
