Fiber Scoring Machine

This device is 3D printed with polyjet in VeroClear material, precise mode to get the 250µ holes right (or almost). We use it to Scratch, Groove and Score 3 or more sizes of plastic Optical Fibers, in 4 possible angles. It helps us sensitize fibers for specific applications in our sensing technology, using only 2 springs, one standard office cutter blade and a 1/4'' adjusment screw with bushing. The render with the square and bigger Scoring Machine is the CNC-ed version I designed earlyer, 2 parts from 1,25'' acrylic square bar fixed with M3 screws on 4 acrylic rods and uses a 18mm blade.
