Flapper VAWT

A vertical axis drag type wind turbine utilizing pivoting flaps. There is a tall and a short version, but both use the same base (Part A) and spindle parts. The spindle parts are identical to the ones used on the "Wind Farm VAWT." They were included here for convenience. The base halves are glued together, and the flaps are attached using #4 x 1" long flat head wood screws. I used a washer between the flappers and the base as a thrust washer. I only printed and tested the short version, and we did not have enough wind to really see how it spins. But it looked promising. This is more for experimental / ornamental use than serious power production.
