I don't know about you, but I **LOVE IT** when I'm inserting the Y-axis rods into my Flashforge Creator and the flanged 5x10x4 bearings get pushed in or better yet, fall off the rod and into the frame. Bonus points for when they fall into the little diagonal hole and then they rest on top of the motherboard. My personal favorite is when they dislodge during a print and ruin everything.
I got tired of this nonsense and designed this little sanity-saver. It's a remix of dssguy1's retainer for non-flanged bearings.
In order to use it, you need to reverse the stock position of the four flanged bearings and make sure the flange is located on the outside of the frame. When drilling the two holes for the two M3 bolts in each corner, heed this advice from dssguy1:
"Word to the wise, when you drill through your case, use a small drill bit first and then a larger one at high speed so you don't damage your ply-wood. You can also try to butt up a piece of wood on the inside of the drille
