Fractal cubes
With fractal math and using the Mandelbulber2, FIJI and MeshLab programs, I have constructed 3 cubes, each of which is different to a greater or lesser extent. Fractal mathematics can produce some highly unpredictable results, and occasionally something that appears suitable for 3D printing.
I've stacked these 3 cubes on top of each other - mostly to see if it could be done at all - and it could.
No support has been used and I have only used 5% infill (zig-zag), but it is imperative to make a solid base plate to avoid shaking as far as possible when printing the top cube !!!
My base plate is 3 mm thick and in Ultimaker Cura 4.4.0 I used 10 top layers and 8 bottom layers (each layer is 0.2 mm) - and it works fine
This model is approx. 22 cm high, but it may be a good idea to scale it down. Try 15 or 12 cm.
