This is my attempt to model an FRC field in a Lego-compatible way. The scale is 28.575:1, so horizontally one stud is 9", and vertically a full brick is 10.8" and plates are 3.6". This project includes everything that is game-independent: carpet, guardrails, gates, driverstations. The field is 36x72 studs, and the baseplates have a 4 stud border on all sides.
This set is 100% 3D-printed.
One of the things that has always frustrated me about printing a 3-D model of the FRC field is that the most useful time to have such a model is during the kickoff weekend. Our plan is to start with this game-independent set and then mock up game-specific elements during the kickoff meeting using regular Lego pieces. After kickoff, I will design and upload the game-specific elements as a separate project.
I printed all of this in PETG for strength, but it ought to work in PLA.
