Frees

A cutter for making edible sugar paste (gum paste) flowers for cakes. This one will cut out the petals for a Freesia. The Fressia is shown in the attached photo. Make two cutouts and glue (with edible glue) them together, one on top of the other, and hold them in a cup shape until they retain their shape. I then put yellow stamen on a wire and insert it in the center of the petal cutouts. Make buds by rolling sugar paste into a tapered cylinder, then impress the lines on the ends using a dull knife. Insert wires into the buds and tape them together as shown in the photo. There are excellent videos available online for constructing the Freesia.

Print using a high resolution to make this as smooth as possible to reduce the risk of trapping bacteria after using the cutter. Also use a food safe plastic, such as PLA. No raft needed.
