Funnel Insert

I wanted to have an extra layer of protection to assure no little bits of resin found their way back into the bottle. This is a simple little print for the funnel that comes with the design from MakerMatrix.

Simply print out each half with the largest faces on the build plate. Once printed, take one of the paper filters and rip out the mesh. Then, using a little bit of cyanoacrylate/super glue, attach the mesh to one of the inner sides.

I used some kicker/accelerator sprayed on the mesh to assure the second I touched it down it would stay in place and be tight.

Then, with a few more drops of glue, attach the second half being careful to line it up as well as you can.

Now, take a sharp blade/hobby knife and carefully cut away the excess mesh around the outside.

You should now have a nice little insert that you can place or glue into your printed funnel.
