This maze is comprised of several 3D curves called Truchet curves. These particular curves are comprised of semi-circles drawn on the corners of a square lattice. There are algorithms for constructing different types of Truchet curves; this particular type is built from semi-circles places on the corners of a square lattice.

I adapted this method from a forum posting in which the author wanted to put curvy decoration on a building wall. So I made this design as large as my printer could print. It finished in 6 1.4 hours.

The interesting thing about this geometry is there are an infinite number of different results, because the method for constructing the curves depends on a single random number.
