this is a model i finished a long time ago, but kept failing during larger print attempts. the problem is that most models from 'The Eminence in shadow' have very heavy hair -- the hair itself could be a completely separate character resin-wise. of course i realized this after the latest fail which didn't fail by detaching from supports, but due to supports anchored between her hair and butt. this is a fundamental flaw with 'bottom-up' resin printers using FEP as a print surface.

you can definitely print this model, but separate the hair at her shoulders and print it separately. this is also why i avoid printing skirts on most models, because the 'webbing' obstructs support propagation. for this reason the model will remain WIP, because there's really nothing more i can do from a design perspective. my FEP is also way past 100,000 layers, but i don't think that is the root cause of the problem.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which 3D printer is suitable for Gamma?
Gamma is designed for resin printers (SLA, DLP, or MSLA). Popular compatible machines include the Elegoo Mars series, Anycubic Photon series, and Phrozen Sonic Mini. A build volume of at least 300 mm is recommended.
Does Gamma need supports when printing?
Yes, Gamma will probably need supports for the overhangs. Tree supports work well here and are easier to remove than regular ones.
What file format is Gamma available in?
Gamma is available in STL format. These files can be opened and sliced using free software such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, or OrcaSlicer for FDM printing, or ChiTuBox and Lychee Slicer for resin printing. The download is provided through Thingiverse.
Is Gamma free to download?
Yes, Gamma is available as a free download through Thingiverse. Always check the license on the original platform to understand commercial use, remixing, and attribution requirements.
