Garlic Press

This compound-action garlic press squishes garlic easily with minimal hand pressure, and the nubs on the plunger push the garlic down into the grid to get more complete garlic ejection. I printed this in PLA, which is generally food safe (modulo additives), but because 3D parts are always a little bit porous, it'll always have microscopic bits of garlic residue. Garlic is generally antimicrobial, so you should be OK as long as you use it on garlic and not, say, on meat. (I've been using one of these for years and am still here.) NotesI used 5 perimeters and 35% infill to make sure it is really sturdy. You should also print it pretty hot and slow to make sure the layers fuse completely. Post-PrintingThe plunger has 4 mouse-ear pads that you need to remove after printing. Then use the pins and pin-caps to assemble as shown in the photos. The caps should just press into the ends of the pins. If the caps are a little loose, print the pin caps a percent or two larger.
