Gate Lock Block

Our neighborhood community has a gated pool with an auto-locking latch on it. Most of the time, there are several families at the pool at one time and the kids go in and out of the pool area often. The problem is that the gate locks and auto-closes so each time we enter/exit it requires either someone to leave their keys in the gate, or have something blocking the gate from closing (we've been putting a trash can in between the door).

This lock block tool is designed to allow the door to close without locking and it can be easily removed when the last person leaves the pool. I'm not sure how common this issue is or how many folks have a similar pool gate but I figured I'd upload it anyway just in case.
