Hallowgram

Inspired by the hologram like bust at Disneys haunted Mansion I decided to try replicating the same effect here. I used an LED tea light as the light source but also used a pumpkin light from a craft store. (the pumpkin light was brighter and was more diffused.

Seeing the pumpkin light is larger then a tea light I also modeled an adapter ring so the tea light doesn't move around.

Im my case is used Black ABS for the Bust and painted the internal face profile for extra affect. you could go the other way, or just use a different filament. (Earleir test I used marble PLA which looked great, but then I ran out.

To make the face depression. I used a face scanning app like Bellus3D on an iPhone with faceID.

I then modeled the bust template in F360, bought both STLs into Meshmixer and did a boolean difference. (Tip you may need to remesh and reduce the models to have similar number of triangles for this to work well)
