Wanted to make bikepacking more accessible and affordable so I wanted to upload this for anyone who can print this for themselves.
This is a work in progress but still works as I've printed only one finished design and rode over 2000km with it with no issues. It was printed in carbon fiber petg. Petg alone should work just fine imo. PLA probably too just cant be exposed to high temps i.e the inside of a hot car in the summer.
Total weight without straps and drybag is 200grams
Requires
- 2X 15m carbon fiber rods 30cm long ($20)
- M3 & M4 Socket head cap screws and hex nuts
- 20mm or smaller straps (I used 30 in stretch-loc sea to summit straps) ($20)
- Some hokey tape to put around your handlebar to prevent slipping
- Dry bag ( I used a 10L drybag from Pelican Sport from amazon) ($20)
* Prices in CAD
More details on screw length will be added on later on.
Use 5+ wall line count and high (60%+) infill
and 5+ bottom/top line count
