Hexagonal Seed Starter

I designed this hexagonal seed-starting tray as a way to grow and gift mixed herb garden starters.

The tray holds seven planter cups arranged in a hexagonal layout.
Each cup has internal vertical wall tabs to help reduce root spiraling.
There’s a built-in socket for a plant tag in each cup for easy labeling.
The plant tags are blank for customization, you can add text in the slicer or with a marker.
The cups use separate strainer base inserts, making it easier to remove seedlings, pressing the base with an extractor rod pushes the soil plug up and out.
The tray can also function as a standalone cup holder without the base.
The base tray acts as either a drip tray or a self-watering reservoir.
