Hollow Hook

I mostly just wanted to play with giving a hook a skeletal look.

I print it on it's base and then pluck out the support material which can be a bit trying but I feel it is worth the hassle.

When I get back to the design I might change the angles a bit to make it more print friendly.

It is strong and can easily handle a heavy coat.

Use your brain and don't use the hook for anything expensive that could break if the hook fails.

If you print it and it works out, please send a pic.

I have printed it on my Artillery Sidewinder X1 and Tinkerine and it works well on both at 0.2 layer height with 10 percent infill.

250326 Update: Well it's now 2025, 7 years later and my first hook has been unscrewed and moved to my new office. It still usually has too much stuff hanging on it but shows no sign of breaking. :)

These days you could probably use tree support and have a much easier time removing the support.

230418 Update: Well it's now 2023 and my first hook is still going strong ha
