Hydroponics towerWhat makes this different to Others?My goal here was to keep filament use to a minimum while keeping the whole thing 3D printable.Its completely modular, you can freely rotate each segment, there are no leaks and the plant pots are a very snug fit without relying on any hardware.Everything that isnt 3d printed should be readily available around the globe or can be easily substituted with something you can source locally.What works and what doesnt?There are limitations on vertical hydroponics towers, those printed towers are fairly small to make them fit on even the smaller printers and be somewhat economic on material, works best for fast growing, fairly small plants like salad or herbs or strawberries.What doesnt work is everything that has a root that you want to harvest, like carrots or potatos.I'm currently experimenting with planting Melons but not sure if that works, looks good so far, so maybe worth a try.
