Ikea Risör - Bottom Cover Hex

We have a cat that roams freely around the house, including our bedroom, which unfortunately doesn’t have a door or any way to place one. As a workaround, we used the IKEA Risör as a room divider. However, our cat quickly figured out she could slip underneath it.To solve this, I designed a three-part per panel hex cover that blocks the gap while still allowing visibility and airflow. The design comes with pegs, so it’s literally “print and assemble.” Note: it’s a tight fit, so applying some force is normal, and I recommend using a few zip ties around the posts for extra security.This has worked well for us as a simple way to keep our cat out while keeping the room airy.Printed with Bambu Matte Charcoal Black and TINMORRY Matte Black.
